Webinar: Hybrid and EV climate control systems

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians on Tuesday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. ET entitled “Climate Control Systems on HEVs and EVs.”

The climate control systems on hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and electric vehicles (EV) use different technology approaches compared to conventional vehicles.

Rene Galvez with Subaru of America will outline these differences and how they impact service.

Topics covered during the webinar include:

  • Heat pump systems’ design and operation
  • Lubrication oils – how’s – why’s – cautions
  • Modes of system operation
  • Coolant and systems they support
  • The critical nature of 609 certification
