With the Snap-on buy one, get one free software promotion, customers who purchase the current 26.2 software release by Oct. 3, will receive the fall 26.4 software upgrade free of charge.

“Snap-on diagnostic tools are renowned for their exceptional performance, robust construction and intuitive design, but what truly sets them apart is the software that we put into them, both when they’re built and over the life of the tool,” said Helen Cox, marketing and client services director, Snap-on Diagnostics. “With the latest software promotion, we’re making it easier for technicians to keep their software up to date, so every feature on their diagnostic tool is always ready for the next job that comes into their bay.”

Highlights of the 26.2 software release include 2025 model year updates for 15 manufacturers, new vehicle specific content for 50 manufacturers and 2026 code scan and clear for 33 supported OEMs. Technicians also have continuous access to manufacturers’ secure gateways, including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Volvo, Ford, Hyundai and Kia, at no additional cost from Snap-on.

“When technicians upgrade to the current software release, their diagnostic tool is ready to serve customers with the latest coverage and industry-exclusive features for general and collision repair for Asian, domestic and European vehicles,” said Cox.

Additional features include exclusive guided component tests and images to locate components faster, helping to speed up and simplify the diagnosis and repair process. This data is continually enhanced and updated with information based on real experiences from technicians and validated by Snap-on engineers, which means thousands more SureTrack real fixes, PID flags, images, tests and tips.
