Snap-on introduces the MT2600, a versatile diagnostic tool that provides fast, intuitive access to diagnostic capabilities, renowned Snap-on quality and support, and OEM-specific coverage for 50 domestic, Asian and European makes back to 1983.

“Ideal for technicians who want reliable, key functionality from an affordable diagnostic tool, the MT2600 is the perfect way for them to overcome both the financial barrier of an initial platform purchase and any concerns they might have about the cost of an eventual trade-up,” said Helen Cox, marketing and client services director, Snap-on Diagnostics.

“Since the MT2600 features the same software and usability as the other platforms in the Snap-on Diagnostics family, it will be easy to trade up to a more advanced diagnostic tool when they’re ready, without having to worry about retraining or losing their investment.”

Providing coverage for more than 100 vehicle systems, the MT2600 includes new technologies such as TPMS, hybrid power, collision avoidance and steering angle sensors, plus extensive capabilities like code scanning, live data graphing, functional tests, relearns and adaptations, giving technicians what they need to complete the jobs that others can’t even start.

The MT2600 comes standard with both English and Spanish language capabilities.

The switchable interface lets technicians work in the language they are most comfortable with and then switch to the other language when needed, such as working with customers or parts vendors who may need the translation.

Using the Snap-on Security Link, the MT2600 allows technicians to work on vehicles with secure gateways from major OEMs, including Ford, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and the Volkswagen Audi Group, when connected to Wi-Fi.

Users can also update the software for their MT2600online with over-the-air updates.

“With the MT2600, there is no more waiting to use the shop’s diagnostic tool – technicians now have the option to invest in their own tool with all the features they want right now, plus an easy way into a long-term relationship with Snap-on diagnostic platforms for years to come,” said Cox.

“From entry-level to the most advanced information-driven scan and scope device in the industry, we are proud to say Snap-on offers the widest range of diagnostic tools to fit every technician’s needs.”
