The new Techline Connect (TLC) will launch August 29th to all Aftermarket Customers.

At press time Indie Garage had not confirmed whether the Techline Connect launch would be concurrent in Canada. When it was launched to the dealer network in 2019, Canada followed some months later.

Techline Connect is a client based software that will be used to access GM programming, diagnostics, and service information

Users will need to download client based software which is essentially downloading a new app to the device that you use to access TDS subscriptions.

Standard j2534 tools will work with TLC

Customers will be able to buy any of the current subscription offerings in all the existing lengths and forms with the transition to TLC.

All existing subscription access will transfer to TLC. There will be no need to buy any type of new subscription unless your subscription has expired and you need to renew access.

The existing TIS will be decommissioned in the very near future. There will be a window when users can still access and launch TIS from TDS but eventually, all users will be only able to access programming and diagnostics through TLC.

Additional information, including two walkthrough videos, can be found on GM’s automaker page on NASTF.org.
