Mitchell 1 focus on ‘Efficiency at Every Step’ at AAPEX

Shop efficiency was the focus of Mitchell 1 presentations at AAPEX.

The theme in the Mitchell 1 booth this year is helping auto repair shops maximize efficiency at every step in the repair process. Demonstrations will focus on efficiency in the full repair cycle, starting with marketing solutions to bring customers through the door, greeting customers at the vehicle for a multipoint inspection, estimating the job, diagnosing and repairing the issue, and staying engaged with consumers throughout the process with text messaging and after the visit with thank-yous, reminders and reviews.

Special emphasis will be on the updated Estimate Guide in the ProDemand repair information software. The new Estimate Guide streamlines the user experience, putting labor times, OEM parts pricing and part diagrams together on a single page, making it faster to find the information and elements needed for the estimate.

The company also demonstrated the new Online Reports in the Manager SE shop management system. This feature makes it possible for shop owners and managers to access shop reports from the cloud, from anywhere they have a PC or device with an internet connection.

Mitchell 1 will be included in Joe’s Garage, a new AAPEX feature this year presenting demonstration videos from leading brands in the industry. The Mitchell 1 video demo is a walk-through of a typical “day in the life of a shop,” beginning with a customer looking for an auto repair shop on the internet, all the way through the check-in process, diagnosis, estimate, repair and follow-up after the visit.
