Fountain Tire has announced the appointment of three team members to new leadership positions created as a part of a corporate restructuring that supports Fountain Tire’s strategic plan.

The appointments are: Dave Deley as Senior Vice President, Stores; Jason Herle as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Information Systems & Supply Chain; and, Nelson Tonn as Vice President, Sales & Mine Service.

“A key part of our strategic planning was to define Fountain Tire’s core purpose, ‘Helping people get there – safely, sustainably and successfully,’” notes Brent Hesje, CEO of Fountain Tire. “We aim to live this purpose from the inside out, supporting our associates, our partners and our customers.”

“Growing our company is not only about expansion, but also about developing our people, planning for succession and aligning our business to best meet our customers’ needs,” Hesje continues.

Dave Deley, Senior Vice President, Stores, will continue to lead operations of Fountain Tire’s 160 stores across Central and WesternCanada. Fountain Tire’s store locations play an integral role in the company’s success, according to Hesje, and Deley’s promotion reflects the important relationship between the company’s corporate office and store managers, most of whom own 50 per cent equity in their stores. With Deley’s team providing operational coaching, store managers can remain focused on taking care of customers.

Jason Herle is a 25-year Fountain Tire veteran, with experience in diverse areas of the company, including real estate, operations and wholesale. His new role as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Information Systems & Supply Chain brings together areas of the business that impact customer experience into one comprehensive program. Herle and his team support Fountain Tire’s stores, wholesale division and mine services.

Nelson Tonn joined Fountain Tire in 1998 and has led the company’s marketing, supply chain, retread and corporate sales divisions. Previously Vice President, Sales, his enhanced role as Vice President, Sales & Mine Service sees him providing broader leadership to Fountain Tire’s B2B teams. These teams include corporate sales, mine service sales and operations, and off-the-road (OTR) operations. He will be focused on building alignment among these teams and with Fountain Tire’s stores.

The new appointments are effective immediately. Deley, Herle and Tonn are based out of Fountain Tire’s corporate office in Edmonton, Alberta.
