Automotive management professionals unite

Indie Garage contributor Murray Voth, RPM Training–shown here conducting a recent course for APD–is among the first members of the newly formed Coalition of Automotive Management Professionals.

The Coalition of Automotive Management Professionals (CAMP) has been formed by a group of business coaches and trainers with the goal of serving the automotive aftermarket through shared challenges and successes.

Their intention is to create awareness about business development, advance industry professionalism, implement best practices and elevate the image of the industry.

“Our Industry is at a crossroad; we all have an obligation to do everything we can to assist our clients in their challenge to be professional and profitable,” says Cecil Bullard, Institute for Automotive Business Excellence.

The group currently includes two members from Canada: Indie Garage contributor Murray Voth, RPM Training, and Bob Greenwood of the Aftermarket E-Learning Centre.

CAMP’s Code of Ethics drives their alliance and includes six main facets: Ethics, Collaboration, Objectivity, Contributions, Financial, and Methodology. Members recognize the opportunity to positively make a difference and create awareness.

“From the beginning, our members have been focused on coming together to help those in our industry advance their knowledge, improve work-life balance and increase profitability,” says Rena Rennebohm, Empowered Advisor.

Through the coalition, CAMP supports each other’s contributions to create a greater sense of unity.  Cutting edge and relevant education will be promoted with the hope of welcoming new ideas and methods through objectivity.

CAMP members work together to address and understand the needs of the industry and embrace technology as a strategy for achieving a competitive advantage and success.
