ACDelco TDS subscription changes take effect July 1

Independent repair shops using General Motors service information and programming tools will see changes to ACDelco Technical Delivery System (TDS) subscription pricing and access terms beginning July 1.

According to a notice issued by the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF), subscription prices for applicable ACDelco TDS offerings purchased on or after July 1 will increase.

Specific pricing details were shared in a table included below. Prices are in USD.

The change affects subscriptions used to access GM diagnostic, programming and service functions through the ACDelco TDS platform. However, the price of the complete Techline Connect subscription will remain unchanged.

Of particular interest to independent repair facilities, ACDelco is also changing the terms of its Service Programming System (SPS) per-VIN subscriptions.

Currently, SPS per-VIN purchases provide programming access tied to a specific vehicle identification number for 24 months. Effective July 1, new SPS per-VIN purchases will instead provide access for only 30 days.

The SPS platform is widely used by aftermarket repairers to perform module programming, calibration updates and replacement control module setup on GM vehicles.

The shorter access window could affect shops that rely on per-VIN subscriptions for ongoing programming needs, particularly when servicing fleet vehicles or handling repairs that require multiple programming events over an extended period.

NASTF is encouraging users to review their current subscription requirements and consider purchasing options before the changes take effect.
