AARO announces new president, board members

Automotive Aftermarket Retailers of Ontario (AARO) held its 81st Annual General Meeting virtually, electing a new president and welcoming new and returning board members.

The association announced the newly elected president is Eric Mileham.

Eric has been in the automotive service profession since 1979 and resides in Orangeville with his wife Gillian.

Together they employ 28 staff across their three businesses, Green Tree Auto Care in Orangeville and newly purchased in 2020 Erskine’s Service Centre, Orangeville, and Roy’s Service Center in Mono, Ontario. 

Steve Gushie, President of Carquest (Canada), who was appointed to the board in October of 2020, attended his first AGM as a Director.

Tamara Ghosn of Roy Rump & Sons Ltd, Ottawa, Ont., was elected to the board as a Director.

AARO also announced that Bruce Eccles, Eccles Auto Service in Dundas will be an Ambassador for the association.

Rudy Graf, Graf Auto Centre moves to Immediate Past President.

New directors elected to a two-year term are Mike Adams, Jake’s Auto Service, Georgetown, Rick Calaghan, Callaghan Corners Inc., Beaverton, Darryl Croft, OK Tire & Auto Service, Etobicoke, Mark Lemay, Auto Aide, Barrie, Nick Mastromarco, Cooksville Service Centre, Mississauga, and James Shields, Tommy’s Motors Ltd., London.

Directors completing their second of two years on the board are Ken Buehler, Buehler Automotive, Alma, Emily Chung, Auto Niche, Markham, John Cochrane, Cochrane Automotive, Etobicoke, and Carrie Hall, Meadowvale Auto Repair Specialists, Mississauga.
