As we close out the year, our annual look at what Canada’s aftermarket automotive service professionals were reading always provides insights into where their collective heads were at.
A few surprises this year, but on the whole it revealed a community of service professionals looking for facts and opportunities in Canada to inform their outlook and strategies.
A few notable honourable mentions:
Firstly, the digital editions of Indie Garage in Print would have all made the Top 10 list, but our rule is that we keep our Top 10 to individual stories. Still, you can check out the Digital Edition Features: SUCCEEDING AS A DESTINATION SHOP, SUCCESS THROUGH INNOVATION, and LAD’S AUTO MARKS 40 YEARS.
Notable stories just outside our Top 10 ranking include a couple of U.S. developments. Our coverage of the “Inaugural AAPEX Student Engine Build Competition” gained a lot of interest, which we share. Interest in our early-2025 report “Judge Blocks final challenge to Massachusetts ‘Right to Repair’ ” was also high.
Closer to home, just outside our Most Read list were stories like “Alberta aftermarket shop rescues a Tesla battery, and a vacation,” and AIA Canada chair “Mister Transmission’s Tony Kuczynski says industry is ready for challenges,” and Murray Voth’s three-part series on Business Building Blocks, which if counted together would have made our list.
Still, the Top 10 list says that Canada’s aftermarket service professionals were really focused on the job of building their business and their customer service strategically and with Canadian realities in mind.
