Andy’s Group acquires Nova Scotia’s Valley Tire

by | Jan 16, 2026

Andy’s Group announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Valley Tire, a highly respected tire and automotive service business with locations in Kentville, Bridgewater, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The transaction is expected to close on February 2, 2026.

Founded over a century ago, Valley Tire has built a strong reputation across the province for technical expertise, customer service, and building deep community roots.

Under the leadership of the Quigley family, Valley Tire grew into a trusted partner for both individual motorists and commercial customers throughout the Annapolis Valley, South Shore, and HRM.

Following the passing of Harold Quigley in February 2025, his sons Steve and Derek Quigley continued to lead the business, carrying forward the values, standards, and customer-first culture their family established over generations. Andy’s Group is proud to build on that legacy.

“The Quigley family and the entire Valley Tire team have created something truly special,” said Craig MacKenzie, President of Andy’s Group.

“Harold built a remarkable business grounded in integrity, service, and community, and Steve and Derek have done an outstanding job continuing that legacy. Their approach aligns closely with how we operate, and we’re excited to move forward together while honouring what’s been built.”

After the transition with Andy’s Group is complete, Valley Tire’s three locations will continue operating with their experienced teams continuing to offer a customer-first approach, ensuring continuity for customers.

The three locations will benefit from the scale, resources, and geographic reach of Andy’s Group around the Maritimes.

Upon completion of the transaction, Andy’s Group will operate:

• 33 retail and commercial tire and automotive service locations under the Coast brand.

• 4 Scotia Tire distribution centers serving customers across the Maritimes.

• 2 Fleet Retreading plants serving commercial and fleet customers.

This expanded footprint will further strengthen Andy’s Group’s ability to support retail, commercial, and fleet customers with consistent service, improved logistics, and broader geographic coverage throughout Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.

“For fleet customers in particular, this acquisition enhances our ability to provide seamless service across the province,” added MacKenzie.

“Whether a customer operates in the Valley, on the South Shore, or in Halifax, we will have even stronger local coverage backed by regional distribution and retreading capabilities.”

Andy’s Group remains proudly Maritime-owned and operated, with deep roots in Atlantic Canada. The company continues to invest locally, grow responsibly, and focus on long-term relationships with customers, employees, and communities.

“This is about building something strong and enduring here at home,” said MacKenzie. “We’re proud to be Maritimers, proud to grow our business in Nova Scotia, and proud to welcome the team at Valley Tire into our group.”
