
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 4:00 p.m. ET entitled “Misfire Diagnostics.”
Misfires originate from one of three areas: ignition, fuel or mechanical. This webinar, presented by Eric Ziegler from Worldpac, focuses on a logical diagnostic process using scan data, lab scope testing and targeted test techniques to quickly identify the source and determine the next diagnostic step.
Topics covered include:
- Ignition, fuel and mechanical misfire causes
- Scan data and mode $06 analysis
- Lab scope testing for fault isolation
- Mechanical integrity and cylinder contribution
- Logical test selection and diagnostic direction
